Halloween should be fun, but Beast is in big??trouble. He was working really hard on his spelling??homework when Ms. Rooney read The Halloween Horror??to the class. Then she told the students to... This description may be from another edition of this product.
My second grade class just finished reading Beast and the Halloween Horror. They loved it from beginning to end. From the first page, where they were introduced to Beast and his friend Matthew by way of a spitball, they were hooked. As Beast got himself into more and more trouble - first by not paying attention in class and then by telling a lie to cover for it - their interest grew. By the time Halloween rolled around with its costume parade and "special guest", they had decided it was the "best book ever". In fact, they decided to follow the example of the Polk Street School kids and write to the author themselves!

When I read this book I laughed so hard! It is a riot! It isphenomenol! Beast and Matthew are a pair of cards! Beast is not agood student, actually I should say he would be a good one if he studied more and paid attention but I guess he's lazy and so he gets caught in a tangled web of a lie he told. I think that Beast gets embarrassed too easily. But then again, I guess when I was that age, I did, tool. Now I probably would have laughed it off!
