My favorite kids author.

I love Babette Cole books. She writes irreverent poetry and has it beautifully illustrated in a scatty sketchy way that is just right. There are moral lessons in here for children, but they are presented with energy, passion, fun and verve. Fun for adults to read and for children to listen. For kids, there is a reading age here of around 7.
