Perfect Chapter Book

My 4 (nearly 5) year old and I love Sophie Mouse! She is a kind, industrious, honest heroine, and the author writes adventures for her that teach and inform. The language used in the books is not too simple, and the characters speak to one another with respect, which is so important. The family and friend relationships modelled are full of love and I appreciate that the mother is a business owner (baker w a bakery) and the parents are both seen caring for the children and home, along with helping the community with their vocations. There are sketch illustrations every few pages, and the book are fun to read. We’ve read/listened to 5 now and are thrilled with our discovery of The Adventures of Sophie Mouse!
