This second book in the Pelican Pete series is just as good as the first. Hugh and Frances Keiser continue to work the magic of the ever-curious Pelican Pete, as he learns to fly and fish, while discovering the dangers of abusing our natural world with pollution. I may be slightly biased, having worked for Frances and Hugh Kesier for the past several months, but my honest opinion of these books is that they are a remarkable resource for children, and because I do work closely with the Keisers, I see the amount of work put into each book. It gives me great pleasure knowing that I am helping out in my own way. My admiration for the Keisers and their animal hero will always be strong, even when I no longer work for them, and Pelican Pete will always have a place of honor on my bookshelves and in my heart.
