Max and Pinky Solve a Mytery

Max and Pinky decide to paint the barn red. After working hard all day to get it done, they thankfully fall asleep, only to wake in the morning to find it now pink. They repaint it again, and this time sleep out in the barn to try and catch the culprit. But no luck; the next morning the barn is again repainted, this time plaid. So not only do Max and Pinky have to repaint the barn, but they also need to investigate for clues, question the farm animals and then finally set a trap. Who do they catch? Well that's the mystery. The illustrations are simple and colorful, the animals entertaining as they talk in the pictures to each other. A fun read for younger children, and something that'll be pulled out regularly for storytime. Sacramento Book Review
