Great for Veterinary Science Students

This book is very comprehensive for first year veterinary science students and will also be useful in later years. It includes some very good diagrams and images which are often used by lecturers.

A necessity for veterinary students

This book really helped me get through comparative and large animal anatomy. It gives you a good overview of functional and comparative anatomy between major species. I would recommend this book to anyone in vet school.

Useful in veterinary anatomy courses. Covers large and small domestic animals. Detailed written descriptions and good diagrams. A must have reference for the veterinary student.

Best Multi-Species Text Available

This is the third edition of an outstanding textbook written by three veterinary anatomists of exceptional talent and many years of experience. This is one of the few veterinary anatomy textbooks available that addresses multiple species of veterinary interest; it includes sections on canine, equine, ruminant, porcine and avian anatomy. The first half of the text takes a systems approach, covering the comparative anatomy of different organ systems. The second half of the book takes a regional approach to anatomy, with different species treated separately and in detail. The authors also make frequent reference to the clinical significance of anatomical facts. Figures are abundant and excellent, and this latest edition has added more color plates. Few extant textbooks of veterinary anatomy rival this one for the quality and comprehensiveness of illustrations. The Textbook of Veterinary Anatomy can remain a significant reference text to the veterinary student (especially those with multi-species interests) throughout his or her curriculum, as it is a remarkably comprehensive book for its compact size.
