A chilling catalog of the men and women who have paid the ultimate price for their crimes The death penalty is one of the most hotly contested and longest-standing issues in American politics, and no place is more symbolic of that debate than Texas. Since the reinstatement of the death penalty in 1977, Texas has put more than 390 prisoners to death, far more than any other state. Texas Death Row puts faces to those condemned men and women, with stark details on their crimes, sentencing, last meals, and last words. Definitive and objective, Texas Death Row will provide ample fuel for readers on both sides of the death penalty debate.
As a correctional officer, its a great read. Brief descriptions of crimes, last meals, and final words pretty much sum up the grim points of life. Crime doesn't pay!

THIS SHOULD BE REQUIRED READING FOR ALL THOSE WHO LEAN TOWARDS THE ACTIONS OUTLINED IN THE BOOK, AND I WISH MORE OF THE U.S. WOULD FOLLOW THE LEAD OF TEXAS. JUST WISH THE ASSEMBLY LINE WOULD INCLUDE THE ELECTRIC CHAIR WITH THE NEXT IN LINE AS A WITNESS. TRULY BELIEVE IT WOULD MAKE AN IMPRESSION AND PERHAPS SAVE SOME LIVES...AT ANY RATE, THE ONE BEING FRIED WON'T TAKE ANOTHER LIFE. UNFORTUNATELY SOME STATES, AS IN CALIFORNIA, EXPECT THE PERSON WAITING TO BE EXECUTED TO DIE OF OLD AGE WAITING AT TAX-PAYERS EXPENCE TO EXPIRE. MOVE THEM TO THE GREAT STATE OF TEXAS AND BE DONE WITH IT (AND WHILE THEY'RE AT IT, EXECUTE THEIR ACLU LAWYER). SHOULD SAVE A LOT OF TAX DOLLARS AND VICTIM HEARTACHE.

A real eye opener ! Thanks to the state of TEXAS,we won't have to worry about these MONSTERS showing up on our doorsteps .Very well put together book, Very Informative, some of these [ most ] killers have not an inkling of remorse. To them, a human life was of no more value than an ant! A big hand to people with a backbone, the people of the Great State Of Texas !
