Terez n, the Theresienstadt concentration camp, memorializes the triumph of the human spirit.
During World War II, the Gestapo transformed Terez n into Theresienstadt, a ghetto and concentration camp. Jews from Czechoslovakia, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands and Denmark were imprisoned there. Despite the suffering, concerts and education continued under a Jewish governing group. Artists like Bedřich Fritta and Norbert Troller worked alongside conductor Karel Ančerl, cantor Karl Fischer, and composer Viktor Ullmann.
Remember the lives that triumphed in the midst of torment with text combined with photos taken at Terez n and Theresienstadt: Concentration Camp and Ghetto (a Travel Photo Art book).
