Two thumbs up!

This wonderful book is really two books in one. You open it up, and count from 1 to 10 as you watch the silly, dirty pigs get clean. Then, surprise of surprises, you turn the book over, and watch the ten little pigs get dirty all over again! My four-year-old daughter and I loved this book, its silly pictures and rhyming text (I loved Dr. Seuss as a kid, love children's' books to rhyme). She loves a good book, and she loves this one, and that's good enough for me! We both give this book a thumb's up, and recommend it for your little reader.

Two books in one, how fun!

Kids really dig pigs, and this book is twice the fun with a clever little turn-around feature. One side features ten clean pigs, counting one-by one as they get out of the bath and get all primped up. By the time you reach 10, they are all dressed and playing in the mud - now they aren't clean anymore! So guess what? You get to flip the book over and start the dirty side. (Okay, not that kind of dirty!) The other side is all about the ten dirty pigs, who one-by-one hop into the bath and get all scrubbed up. My kids love the little details - one pig is wearing glasses, and the girl pigs have pretty eyelashes. The great thing about this book (besides that it's written in rhyme) is that it can be read over and over and over and over again. Well, great for the kids. Adults may get a little tired after awhile. Hopefully it will induce some sleep on the kids' part.

A wonderful ryhme

My children both love this book - the pictures are whimsical and the rhyme has a great cadence!! A very charming and fun book. Both kids also liked to point out the soap, ball, duck etc. that the pigs play with and learned some words from this book.

An Easy Charmer

The simplicity is amazing. We've all told the tale of ten little piggies, but this is illustrated so that even the yearling toddler will understand. The concept of turning upside down, and backwards, while telling a story so easily related to is wonderful. Don't pass this one up for even the wee small fry!

A Great Find!

Ten Clean Pigs/Ten Dirty Pigs is a delightful, clever book - or should I say books. My three-year old is fasinated by the two-books concept. The illustrations are wonderful - the piggies bathing, dressing, posing, all the things little your little ones do. My two boys, ages 2 & 3, enjoy the book and the added benefit of introducing counting to kids. It's a fun book - a keeper.
