Very detailed book about sharing the gospel

This book is not fluff, but for the serious reader and one who desires to share the gospel well.

One of the Best Christian Witnessing Books Around

In my humble opinion, McCloskey has written an excellent that not only motivates the reader, but is also thought-provoking.Among the points McCloskey covers include:1. Difference between persuasion and propoganda.2. Suggestions on how to respond to secularists and atheists.3. The evangelist must avoid the tendency to think there is no urgency in sharing the gospel.4. Aggressive evangelism is often unfairly labeled and criticized.5. Principles of communication models and pointers on being a good listener and communicator.6. Strategies to getting others involved in witnessing.7. The devil knows how to blind religious people.8. Be sensitive to opportunities to present the gospel. God will use you as a sower and reaper.An excellent read!

A very thorough treatment

A better book on the practical theology of evangelism would be hard to find. Valuable chapters on basic communication theory which are important for Christians to consider. Also excellent discussion of "initiative" vs. "friendship" evangelism, as well as issues to consider as one talks to people of different faith backgrounds, including nominalists and agnostics.
