Good Romantic Suspense

Corrie Grant doesn't want her grandfather's wealth. All she wants is to learn about the father she never met and what happened to him and to her mother. Her southern relatives don't trust her. After all, why wouldn't this poor relation not be after money? They make it clear she's not wanted. Then Corrie begins to have accidents, some of them with the potential to be deadly. Lucas Santee, who takes care of the family business thinks Corrie is running a scam, but he can't sit by and watch as someone continues to make attacks on her life. Together Lucas and Corrie set out to learn what happened to her parents. Marta Perry skillfully blends romance and suspense in this fast paced story about two people with separate agendas thrown into a fight against evil.
