TALES FROM THE 1969-1970 NEW YORK KNICKS IS ONE GREAT BOOK. I REALLY DID NOT WANT TO PUT IT DOWN. I READ IT IN 2 DAYS. THIS BOOK BROUGHT BACK SOME GREAT MEMORIES OF THAT GREAT KNICK TEAM WHO WAS THE FIRST TO WIN AN NBA TITLE AFTER THE CELTICS DYNASTY ENDED. THE KNICKS WERE A GREAT EXAMPLE OF A TEAM. TODAY'S GAME IS NOTHING BUT A BUNCH OF ONE ON ONE EGO TRIPS WHO PUT TEAM SUCCESS SECONDARY TO PERSONAL STATS AND GLORY. I WAS PULLING FOR THE LAKERS WHEN THEY MET IN THE FINALS. IT WAS GETTING CLOSE TO THE END FOR WILT, ELGIN AND JERRY AND I WANTED THEM TO WIN. BUT THEIR TIME WOULD COME 2 YEARS LATER, WITHOUT BAYLOR. THE KNICKS JUST PLAYED GREAT TEAM DEFENSE, PASSED TO THE OPEN MAN AND WERE UNSELFISH. DOLLAR BILL, CLYDE, BARNETT, DEBUSH, AND WILLIS WERE SUCH A TREAT TO WATCH. THIS BOOK BRINGS BACK THOSE GREAT MEMORIES IN THIS MUST READ FOR ALL NBA FANS.
