altered art

this is a great book that gives you lots of ideas for altering tags and such. I love it!

Make your scrapbook unique with this book!

I've gotten more out of this book than any other scrapbooking book I've ever read. The author has seriously made tags out of everything, I don't think there's anything she hasn't tried. Every time I turned the page there was a new technique I wanted to try for myself. I tend to be more artistic when it comes to scrapbooking, and the author is truly an artist. She isn't afraid to use bright colors or put things together that you wouldn't think went together, and she makes it work! I also like the fact that she uses subjects other than children, since I don't have any kids. Many scrapbooking books revolve around children and the events of growing up, so it's hard for me to find inspiration from them. If you want to try new and unconventional techniques to make your scrapbook unique, you HAVE to get this book.

inspirational and has good ideas

This book is a great buy. The ideas are interesting and inspirational and will work great for both card making and scrapbooking. However, you do need a lot of supplies to complete the projects. The pictures are excellant, but no instruction on how to actually create and complete the tags. Would recommend this book as an addition to your craft book library. Will add another dimension to your paper crafts.

Great Tags for Couples and Pet Parents

If you've ever seen anything about scrapbooking, altered books, and just altered art in general you are aware that they are geared toward those big time into children and family. I was very happy to see an altered art book not drowning in kid related art projects. Finally a book for adults and/or those that prefer their significant others, dogs, cats and friends to kids and babies. This book has tags that are do-able and are quite attractive and sophisticated looking as opposed to juvenile or plain. I've gotten lots of inspiration for my own scrapbook/altered tags and even altered books. I will definitely purchase more books from this author if they continue to be on par with this one.

Each category - and there are 39 in total - includes the basic idea with variations, a step-by-step how-to photo sidebar, a full page spread & additional samples showing some of those oh-so-clever variations on the theme. In short, this volume will make an excellent addition to any scrapbooker, paper or mixed media artist's library.
