Some might label this "regional" or "Appalachian" literature but the quality of the writing and the unique vision of Lou Crabtree allows it to soar to much greater heights. These stories belong on your bookshelf alone side Chekhov, being among the finest stories crafted by the human heart. They have a small but growing cult of readers now. Someday they will be a part of our literature. A Classic.
