An absolutely fantastic read!

Ilona Andrews is one of my favorite authors. These books are short (to me) but fun. They're extremely easy to read and if you have a quiet day can read them in a single day. The world building is phenomenal and I am a hardcore Fantasy fan not Sci-fi. This book has more Sci-Fi elements (space craft, aliens, technology) but also the standard fantasy that I love (werewolves, vampires, sword fights...) The author duo really melds them well together. To me this would fall into the "New Adult" genre (If that's even a thing anymore) simply because it deals with adults and adult problems, but is so easy to read. It's no epic by any means and isn't hard to tackle. There is some romance eventually and a few curse words (less than 5 in this book) and no smut. I can only song the praises of this book and it's one of the few that I can reread often and still enjoy the journey.
