Be careful what you wish for... Three cutting-edge writers explore the high-wire risk of having a sexual wish come true. In "Jodi K" by Jill Soloway, the award-winning writer/producer of Six Feet Under , a suburban teenager is a skeptical part of every high school make-out scene, but her heart is fixed on the middle-aged man next door. "Charmed, I'm Sure" by Eric Albert, a frequent contributor to Best American Erotica, tells of a single man who enters into a contract with a modern-day witch and finds there are unforeseen complications even in the most magical seductions. The young woman in "Bending" by Greta Christina, the author of Paying for It, can't seem to find an alternative sexual position...until her friends and lovers come up with a scheme that opens her up -- literally -- to her real needs and desires.
With Three Kinds Of Asking for It, Susie Bright once again presents us with a collection of erotic novellas that we will want to read over and over. There is a certain indelible thread of earthly spirituality that unites these three superb novellas novellas. All are about transformation and change. For me, the hottest, most memorable and interesting stories about doing IT always include this element and I certainly was not disappointed here. In Eric Albert's supremely witty,Charmed,I'm Sure, our hero discovers what is under the fine print when he enters into a contract with a very modern witch who accepts credit card payment for her spells. In Bending, beautifully written by Greta Christina, a woman who prefers one sexual position over all others, pushes her sexual envelope so far out she finds a whole new world inside. In Jill Soloway's very wise and very funny Jodi K. we find out what happens when a smart and lovely fourteen year old gets a crush on her best friend's father. All three of these novellas end with a surprise that left me breathless and delighted. Three Kinds Of Asking For It is a book I want to give to all my friends. It's seldom you see this kind of erotica: with characters who can be sexy and human at once, scenes that turn you on while at the same time (or maybe later, after you cool back down) you're entranced by their wit and insight and sometimes even a touch of poignancy or romance. These authors care about their writing--you can see it in every sentence. (Susie Bright must have chosen them carefully.) These are stories you can read again and again, and not *just* for the usual reason--though, I can tell you, they're great for that too.
Hot! Hot! Hot!

Everything you wished for and more; a delightful menage a trois. Albert, Christina, and Soloway position themselves in the forefront of contemporary erotica -- and every other way as well. Hot and licking good fun!" -- Lawrence Paros, author of Bawdy Language
The perfect three-course erotic meal!

Reading the three novellas in this book in order is like sitting down and eating a gourmet erotic meal prepared with love and skill by the finest chefs. Whet your appetite with Eric Albert's "Charmed, I'm Sure", a story with equal parts humor, magic and hot sex. When the protagonist buys a special magical charm for the day, he makes sure to sample nearly every sexual treat he can get his hands on. Once you've had a moment to digest that, dive into the main course, Greta Christina's fabulous "Bending" but be warned that this is one spicy story! From the first page, you're going to be squirming in your seat, sweating just a bit in all the right places and needing a drink of water now and then to keep you going... it's that deliciously erotic. It might be one of the hottest stories you'll ever read, but it's so good you won't be able to stop until it's over. After you've let the flavors from "Bending" fade, treat yourself to the sweet tale of "Jodi K". Jill Soloway gets right into the mind and specific tastes of a teenage girl, and the result is a fascinating and very satisfying end to a wonderful meal... er, book.

I just finished reading this. I am a huge fan of Jill Soloway's writing from Six Feet Under and she completely knows how to write. "Jodi K" is the one that I heard about and the reason I got this book. It's about a 14 year old girl and her sexual fantasies written in the voice of a teenager. It's of course erotic but it's also very funny and comedic. Athough I will add that I thought the entire book, there are three in here- was very sexy/cool/good and i recommend it highly.
