Valerie Nieman's book "Survivors" is a wonderful tale of a family in West Virginia. Through her wonderful choices and words and descriptive phrases, she depicts her characters and their scenes in such a way you feel like you are watching a family movie. I highly recommend this book for anyone looking for a good read or wanting to see how real fiction is written.
