When Chip the pizza-delivery dog is called to deliver pizza on a Wednesday, Batty, Chundo and Crooky are sure there is some mistake. Wednesday is always salad day. Still, the three feel sorry for making Chip go out of his way and decide to throw a surprise party for him. Now how can they lure Chip to their house so the fun can begin? Filled with jokes, puns, and, of course, weimaraners, this clever picture book presents an entertaining guide to every child's favourite event. Illustrated with full-colour photographs throughout.
These books are rated for 4-8 years old. They show dogs in all different human costumes and activities. Story lines are simple enough for a child but clever enough for adults. This particular book has decor themed from the 70s and fun to see. Our child found them a little bit confusing that the dogs were "pretending" but then he is not yet 4. But even he found the visual stimulating pictures interesting. He could look at them for a long time as the picturs are rich details.
SURPRISE PARTY - WILLIAM WEGMAN
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 24 years ago
I HAVE THROUGHLY ENJOYED ALL OF THE CHILDREN"S BOOKS OF WILLIAM WEGMAN. EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE WRITTEN FOR CHILDREN, I PROBABLY ENJOY LOOKING AT THEM TIME AND TIME AGAIN AS MUCH AS ANY CHILD. I HAVE OWNED WEIMARANERS FOR 35 YEARS, SO I KNOW WHAT A UNIQUE BREED THEY CAN BE. IN THE SURPRISE PARTY, WEGMAN AGAIN HAS AN INTERESTING STORY FOR CHILDREN; ALONG WITH HIS WIMSICAL PICTURES OF HIS WEIMARANER FRIENDS. I WOULD RECOMEND THIS FOR YOUNG AND OLD ALIKE.
