A Jake Cody Mystery - Jake grew up with two older brothers on a 300 acre ranch near Cody, Wyoming. His dad Sam Cody taught the boys to ride, shoot, fight and generally how to be self-sufficient. Jake joined the marines when he turned 19. He was selected for Reconnaissance Scout training and finished at the top of his class. After training and a short leave Jake was assigned to the 2nd Battalion 7th Marine Regiment Combat team 3 in Musa Qal'Ah District, Afghanistan. There he met sniper Sandy Fitzgerald and formed a friendship. Jake & Sandy finally had enough of military politics and rules of engagement. They became mercenary snipers for hire and joined Ace Murphy's Combined Strategic Services (C.S.S.) where their talents were used to deal with cartels, drug lords, mafia and other U.S. enemies. They became rich but it wasn't the money that excited them. It was hunting and having a goof time doing it.
