Hands numb/ like fading into obscurity/ submerged underwater until everything sounds the same/ it comes again/ I scream/ but there's a plastic bag over me/ I reach out my hand but I can't feel a thing/ pins and needles piercing into me/ where am I in this symmetry?/ do I align with the lines you draw?/ the emptiness came back/ I have no closet to cry in/ it's a lie to say I'm fine/ tropical penguins actually do lie/ I'd flip a coin to turn back time/ but I don't want to lose it all/ just want to feel the air on my skin/ scream and hear it/ but there go the voices again/ Nothing is ever the same/ the whale told me to find my own place/ after all I'm only human/ but all I hear are the voices inside me/ I hear it again/ the sound of titles I never wanted/ you're annoying/ what a weirdo/ such a creep I wanna find a line to fit on/ shapes I can merge with/ rip this bag off and breathe/ handle the sand/ but I can't filter any of it out/ I'm sorry I got snot on your sleeve I hear it again/ the sound of doors slamming/ the same broken promises/ my dad yelling until my voice becomes his/ There are ladybugs dying in my window/ if death means luck then I don't want it/ I love you but I can't say it/ reducing it all down to a letter/ words always beat me in the end/ and I hate it/ I hear it again/ paper cranes burning/ the shower torturing me/ a handprint on a window/ her tears at the lake/
