A brilliantly researched and written chronicle of the struggles of the oppressed poor of Central America.Berryman has adroitly chronicled, over the past three decades, the struggles of the marginal, ethnic poor of Guatemala, El Salvador and Nicaragua against their tyrannical oppressive political systems. Extremely insightful is the analysis he provides of the doctrine of "Liberation Theology" and "Proclamation Only Theology".
