Excellent overview of structural systems

This book is intended for architects but structural engineers will find it useful to see how structural theory is applied. The book focuses on ideas rather than hand calculational methods. It should be viewed within that context. You will not learn structural engineering from this book.

This is an excellent text book for Architecture students, about structural systems. This book is an indispensable reading for undergraduate. Is complement for understand reinforced concrete, steel and wood constructions.

From architecture point of view ....

It's very good book in structure ( I will never use best or perfect in my review ). It's not sophisticated and not too excessive for architecture student. After reading this book you will know that structure design is not difficult it seems though it's not easy anyway. For architecture student, if you need only one book in structure this is the right book especially in understanding rigid frame structure, explained in hundreds of pages !
