What I like about this book is that even though it is for beginners it is geared to engineers. Most of the programs/examples are based on ECE/CS type material. This would go great with physics2 EM or an electric circuits course. I took discrete math with the Epp book, but this book finally explained binary math. This book gets into the nuts and bolts of memory usage, great stuff. Program 4.30 on pg 251 displays the entire ASCII code and beeps at the end. The only negative is that I could not get the graphics stuff to work on my own. Technical types you need this book!
It is easy to understand.

Compare to other text books,I didn't have to guess what the authors are trying to say when I read it. This is the most I like about the book--easy to understand.
