Strangely Brown ain't the cleverest feller around, according to most folks from Clearwater. What young Strangely is though, is honest - more honest than all them folks put together. He's a real hard worker too, doing all sorts of odd jobs around town, while hoping to one day marry his sweetheart, the beautiful, kind Abby Snood.
When a murderous outlaw tricks Strangely into helping him rob the bank, then delivers him into the hands of the County Sheriff, young Strangely finds himself in real trouble. That big-shot big-city Sheriff has Strangely locked up for murder, and is planning a big public hanging. Worse still, sweet Abby's life hangs in the balance when she's kidnapped by the outlaw.
Strangely Brown had better start thinking real fast - and he'd better act even faster.
JV James writes classic Westerns filled with twists and turns - and always a touch of romance - perfect for fans of CJ Petit, RO Lane and John Deacon.
But as good as those three are, JV's favorite Western authors will always be Louis Lamour and Duane Boehm.
