There are millions of people in the United States who have no legal right to be here. That creates a problem for them and for the rest of us. They live in the shadows, often looking over their shoulder, gripped with the fear of deportation, and exploited because of their vulnerability. Often, they have to put up with horrible living and working conditions because they have no legal remedy. That is no way to live life.Their presence in the United States also hurts the rest of us - the vast majority of those physically present in the United States, who were born here or otherwise have a legal right to be here.
