I stumbled on this book while walking a book store on a recent trip. I had not heard of the Author but it intrigued me. So I bought it and was captivated by the writing, which is excellent, and also by the content and scriptural references. It is one of the first such books I've been unable to put down in some time. The author takes you through beginning a Disciples journey and knowing if you have a testimony of Christ; then a discussion of love and its place in our trying times and then spiritual growth, reason and faith.
Why does someone fall away from the Church after serving a mission, or after experiencing a miracle? It seems absurd, right?! Spiritually Anchored explains the balance between reason, feeling and experience, and how no faith can truly survive without all three things. The book also goes into the path to discipleship and other interesting topics such as being a gospel scholar. I absolutely loved it from beginning to end... so compelling that it doesn't take long to read at all.
Outstanding book for our times and then some
