Again, an excellent book by Mr. Dyck. This book is the second that I have read of the author. The first was about the Mennonite history; read my other review. Mr. Dyck is my favorite author when it comes to studying the Mennonites. He is very well organized and that helps to keep me involved in his writings. Anabaptist beginnings go back to the Reformation. Most modern denominations(protestant) in my opinion, have a link to the Anabaptist faith. If you want insight in the lives of the forefathers then you must read this book. Mr. Dyck's books have cultivated and nurtured my faith. I claim the Anabaptist way of life as my own, probably more so then do some of my Mennonite and Brethren in Christ friends. In my opinion, the two books I've referenced should be taught in all Anabaptist's schools and Sunday schools. The reading is highschool to college in substance, in my opinion, but would not let that interfere with your choice. Again, I recommend this book to anyone who has a foundation and thirst to grow in the knowledge of Anabaptism or even protestantism. Also, I must add that this is clearly not a book on history but of faith!
