Spiritual Awakenings: Finding clarity and hope in our lives

In the fall of 2004, the authors embarked on a journey that would surprise both of us with its depth of discovery, breadth of friendship, and unmitigated joy. From 2004 to 2015, Jolene Andersen, a cabinetmaker and former Mayor of Lawrence, Kansas, and Victor Contoski, Professor Emeritus at the University of Kansas, have facilitated classes under the rubric of Spiritual Awakenings. The third teacher, Bill, who died in 1971 and whom Jo knew when he was incarnate, directs the classes from the other side and answers students' questions. Jo conducts the classes. Vic assists, takes notes, and tells jokes. We have also hosted channeling sessions called Evenings with Bill and made appearances at psychic fairs and other gatherings. Hundreds of people have enjoyed and benefited from Bill's wisdom, common touch, and sense of humor. In this first book, we present our Awakenings classes, the introductory series designed to get the participants in touch with their personal power and spiritual nature. Becoming aware of their own spirit guides, they hear and follow their inner voice. Thus, they create the lives they truly desire. Our students come from all walks of life, some with more experience in the spiritual realm than others, all of them eager to learn. As we share each other's joys and sorrows, defeats and triumphs, we find ourselves becoming fast friends. Getting to know them has been one of the greatest privileges of our lives. We hope they become your friends as well as you read our book. As we enter this new era of human evolution, the wisdom presented in this book needs to become part of our common knowledge. All people should know we are safe in present time and that we are all united. No one needs to be a victim. We can all uncover our own personal power and take charge of our lives.
