Great examples to inspire our daughters

I'm not sure where to start. My daughter is 10 1/2, almost in 6th grade, entering the age when girls reject math and science...though she's loved space since kindergarten. Her younger brother loves it even more, and challenges her! But how could we, her parents, challenge her, encourage her to keep loving it, inspire her to follow her interests? This book has been a God-send. The biographical essays are written so well, the women's lives presented in such an interesting and achievable way - these are real people, who've accomplished great things, and so can you - that she is encouraged and refreshed just by reading about them. Tonight, on her own, she wrote a mini-book report on Roberta Bondar. We've talked at great length about Jerrie Cobb, Valentina Tereshkova, and Caroline Herschel. She is internalizing the reality that women can be scientists, can follow their dreams, can literally shoot for the stars... It is priceless, and I am humbled and grateful
