6 gut wrenching laughs per page

I would write more but I am too sore! This book should be our Big Read instead of that currently pushed by our library written by Ray Bradbury and having virtually nothing to do with our current situation. But this book has everything to do with it! Poor parrot! Mike Doogan move over!

The Editorial Review/Book Description is WRONG!

After discovering this book while searching Google for info on Barrow, I was confused by the description here. Sounds like a cheap romance novel! So I wrote to the author who said that it's NOT! I bought the book and loved it! Anyone with any interest in Barrow/The North Slope should definately read this! It is a very interesting true story of a NY/NJ woman who takes a nursing job in Barrow back in the 70's when it was less "civilized". It is filled with humor and lots of description of such a remote and unique area of our country! It's an easy and extremely enjoyable read! Thank you Elise! :)
