Her whole life, Hikari Hanazono has been consumed with the desire to win against her school rival, Kei Takishima--at anything. He always comes out on top no matter what he does, and Hikari is determined to do whatever it takes to beat this guy...somehow At age 6 Hikari lost to Kei in an impromptu wrestling match. Now, at 15, Hikari joins ""Special A,"" a group of the top seven students at a private academy, for the opportunity to trounce the guy who made her suffer her first defeat. Being No. 2 Sucks Hikari and Kei are pitted against a pair of professional wresters in a challenge issued by the student council. Hikari may now be on the same team as Kei, but a rival is still a rival
The student council has challenged the members of the SA to a wrestling match (using professional wrestlers, of course). The SA accepts, putting up Hikari and Kei as their opponents. When the match is resolved Hikari finds herself set to a cooking task by Kei and helping plan various festivals. Always up to the challenge though, particularly when Kei tells her she can't do it, Hikari accepts all of the tasks heaped upon her with determination. This series is all over the map for me. I still enjoy it though. It's one of the series I will keep reading and look forward to. I see that it's been optioned for an anime as well. That makes me happy, I think this would be a fun series to watch.
Special A!!!

This series is sooo cute! The main male character likes the main female character, but she's too busy competing with him to notice >.< <br />The story line is soo FUNNY. It had me bursting with laughter (enough so that my parents came into my room worried I'd gone mad haha) Definately check it out ;D
