Guide book for every Professional Woman

Great book for women presenting anything from keynotes to eulogies. I have read the authors other book"Present like a Pro" and thought it was so good I purchased this book focusing on presenting as a woman. This book covers everything you need to know, have a notebook and pen ready to take notes as you read, I had to keep running back for mine!

Great advice for the woman who wants to "Speak Up"

I highly recommend this book. Not only is it easy to read, but it is filled with solid, practical advice for women speakers or for polishing your general presentation skills. We may not want to acknowledge it, but knowing the difference between male and female audience response is key to knowing how to best use your skills for an even playing field.

I really am enjoying reading "Speak Up!: A Woman's Guide to Presenting Like a Pro". There is much helpful guidance and many helpful examples. What sticks with me is the emphasis on preparation, and getting to know as much about your audience in advance as possible. "Speak Up!" also offers good information on getting the audience involved in the presentation. I like the quotes from professionals that are incorporated into the book too.

I highly recommend Speak Up! A Woman's Guide to Presenting Like a Pro for women (and men) who are seeking to gain that extra edge in their professional lives (and with personal communication skills). I think the advice for "Speaking Up" and doing presentations is very insightful, but I also find the tips and suggestions for communicating in any setting - e-mail etc. very valuable. A great present to give to a friend who is seeking to reinvent or go after their greater career dreams and boost their credibility and confidence in communicating.
