The movie wuz tha bomb

Soul Food was a heart felt movie and it was like real people really living that particular life that was in the movie. And the characters were great especially Nia, Mekhi, Brandon, and Vivica. The book was just like the movie and had a couple parts added which is always cool.

THE NOVEL, SOUL FOOD, WAS AN EXCELLENT COMPANION TO THE MOVIE. THE READER COULD REALLY FEEL THE EMOTIONS OF THE CHARACTERS. FOR EXAMPLE, THE WISDOM OF MAMA JOE REMINDS US OF OUR OWN PARENTS AND GRANDPARENTS WHO STRUGGLE TO KEEP THE BLACK FAMILY TOGETHER THROUGHOUT HISTORY. ACCOLADES TO THE AUTHOR, LAJOYCE BROOKSHIRE ON A THOUGHT-PROVOKING BOOK.

Soul Food is an exellent book and the movie also.

I've enjoyed watching the movie Soul Food. I've watched it several times and wouldn't mind watching it again and again until I'm just sick of watching it. I'm doing a report on it know in College.

REAL,TRUE,DOWNHOME TYPE OF FEELING

" SOULFOOD", is the kind of movie that makes you wish that all families wre this warm. i fell in love with the concept and the idea of the togetherness in this family. Terri was so stck in misery with out the knowledge of the love of a husband, the jealousy between her and Max, could have destroyed any relationship.i also loved the way Kenny treated his wife, he actually called her " BEAUTTIFUL", the way he looked at his wife after she had her baby was so touching, and Ms. Bird, I felt that she was still in lust with the ex, she was wrong for going to someone that was only looking out for himself.Mama Jo was absolutely a remarkable mother, grandmother, friend and cook. It takes a strong person like that to hold a family together.I also felt so sad that Faith had to come and be the home wrecker in the family, but through it all, I loved each and every character that had a part and also BabyFace and Tracy did a wonderful job in putting the music and producing touches on this wonderful film, mad props to you George, you got it going on in a real way!!!!!!

This book was like food to my soul.

Soul Food was extremely good. This novel is so similar to my family experience, that it is haunting. I can literally relate to almost everything in this book. It brought back memories of my deceased loved ones. I read the novel before I watched the movie and I must say that the novel is much better. I felt a sense that I knew each character like they were a member of my family. I literally cried when the climax of the book came. This book is a must for anyone who has fond memories of their family experiences. I also recommend that you read the novel before you watch the movie to get a better feel of where the characters are coming from.
