With Doctor Stein unable to carry on, Maka, Kid, and Black*Star enter the magnetic field to take up the mission and locate the tempestuous demon tool known as Brew. Time is quickly running out as the three face off against Mosquito, struggling to harmonize their wavelengths within the magnetized vortex. They'll be lucky to escape with their lives, let alone the demon tool!
The DWMA Students are holding their own against Arachnophobia agents in the battle for the demon tool "BREW." But Maka, Kid, and Black☆Star is up against one of top generals in the opposing organization, Mosquito, after Doctor Stein was unable to fight madness inside the magnetic vortex, and inside someone else. The only hope to make it out alive, let alone get the demon tool, is for the kids to harmonize their wavelengths within the magnetic vortex, a task previously proven difficult. Will they be able to harmonize and make sweet music, or crash and burn together out of tune?
It was really fun to see Maka, Kid, and Black☆Star work together in tune with each other, though it was also worrisome to see Soul's madness inside him. We met a new character in this volume that I wish would have stuck around longer, he was pretty interesting and entertaining, and I would have liked to seen him and Marie together more.
And what the heck is Medusa's plan, it's like when you get a handle and think you know where she's going, her next move completely turns on its head. But she better not hurt Corona, that boy must be protected at all costs! The art for Soul Eater is a big part of its beauty, its scattered and impeccably showcases the atmosphere each scene needs, and this volume is no different.
I'm enthralled with everything this series has, from the characters backgrounds and motivations, to the bad guys powerplays. All wrapped up in an action-packed and sometimes hilarious shell. I can't wait to read more!
