Remembering who and how we really are

Brailsford's Chronicles of the Stone series is a magical journey through the "history" of the Pacific Rim. Journeying from Peru to Rapanui, to Aotearoa (New Zealand) to Kauai, Hawaii, to the Pacific Northwest to China to Egypt to Europe. This is the first book of the series which takes us from the mountains of South America to Rapanui, via Lake Titicaca. The plot is full of adventure and the characters are beautifully drawn. But what appealed the most to me is the spiritual content/context of the story. Brailsford reminds us that at one time we knew how to live in harmony with each other, with nature and with spirit. He takes us to a time when we lived in a state of connectedness with each other and with spirit. My experience while reading this series was one of being taken to another time and place, and I loved it! In this time of uncertainty, this series offers ideas on how we can cope and survive with grace.
