Healing Read

I have read many books telling of the "Hell" of Vietnam. Jim brought this book down to the level of the individuals he is trying to reach. I did not find much fiction in it's contents. Anyone that does not "feel" this book was either not there, in the read with the gear, or you should keep your comments to yourself. Thank you for writing this book, soldier. HHHOOORRRAAA!

A True War Story of a Sniper in Vietnam

I couldn't put this book down. This well written true story of the author's experience as a soldier in Vietnam was savage but riveting. His Airbourne-Recon team was routinely set down among enemy concentrations to scout and fight then retrieved by air. He was trained as a Sniper and dropped far behind enemy lines with only his wits to keep him alive. I have never before understood how different and vicious the Vietnam war was. Yet in all this raw, dirty, fearful ground combat, this soldier developed a faith that kept him sane and led to a dramatic conversion experience.
