This book is devoted solely to the study of sociodrama, a group learning process which provides practice in solving problems of human relations through action. This process unlocks the common threads of human experience for everyone and illuminates the thoughts, feelings and hopes of all who participate. It offers the chance for those participants to learn about themselves, the world and their place in it. At the same time, this method often produces spontaneous enjoyment and laughter. This book offers theoretical and practical guidance for educators, psychotherapists, business people, sociologists, management and staff trainers, and pastoral counsellors as well as anyone who works with groups. Sociodrama's purpose is to help participants clarify values, express feelings and practice new behaviours.
I used Sociodrama: Who's In Your Shoes? for the textbook for the graduate course I taught at Kansas State University. It was the textbook when Patricia Sternberg taught the course at Hunter. The authors, Patricia Sternber and Antonina Garcia are master practitioners and trainers. No one explains sociodrama better. In this book, they have shown how sociodrama can be a valuable tool for therapists, educators, and trainers. This is a truly inspiring and comprehensible read.

Sociodrama: Who's in Your Shoes? is an amazing resource for clinician and teacher alike. I have used it in both capacities with measurable, often cathartic results. An excellent introduction with valauble exercises to use in many settings. Highly recommended. Paul J Lesnik, LCSW
