So Close to God

The front cover of this book honors the sweet innocence of a child. The back cover depicts my husband and I. Everything that is written between these covers is of God. As I wrote each word, I felt my God draw near to me. I thought I was close to God until I wrote this book. It was only then that I came to realize that God is so close to me. I could not write one word without my Lord and Savior. God has allowed me to write about people in a deep and tender way. Sometimes there is suffering, but when you stay close to Him all things become bearable. I look forward to the moment when He tells me what to write and who to write about. It is my prayer that you will find yourself in this book, and it is my joy if you find yourself in a poem, a poem that would bring you close to God.
