A beautiful book!

I have bought many books on woodcarving as I was looking for something to really grab my interest. There are many that start with elaborate tool requirements or with complicated plans. This book teaches whittling songbirds and only requires a short list of tools. The real surprise is that the birds produced by this method are simply beautiful. The pictures and illustrations are wonderful enough that you might keep this book on your coffee table. A similar book you may find of interest is Steve Tomashek's Tiny Whittling.
