Great Read

I sat down and read this book in one evening and thoroughly enjoyed the characters and the plot.The subject of the BFC is a fascinating subject in which very little has been written since the end of WW2. I found it interesting that Mr. Walker made our hero John Pilgrim not only a former SAS soldier but also a militaria collector.I look forward to reading more of his material in the future.

Haven't read it, but....

... that Asian hottie on the cover has me convinced. It's like she's telling me, "Buy this book or I'll kick your @$$!" And who am I to argue with that? 5 stars!

A RIPPING GOOD YARN, OLE BOY !

Good characters with an interesting story line keep you turning the pages to see what happens next. Not only do you feel like you have spent some time in London, you have the added bonus of learning a few things about WWII and weaponry which is all woven into an intriguingly good story line. I appreciated the historial accuracy and information on guns. It will be interesting to see how the main characters continue to develop in the next John Pilgrim novels.

Snides - a rattling good story!

I read a review copy of Snides and enjoyed it very much. Realistic situations and accurate WWII historical detail all merge to make this book an exciting read. The lead characters, John Pilgrim and Sally Brandon, are not cardboard cutouts, but believable people. Pilgrim has a sense of humor, and sometimes misses the target when he shoots! Sally has opinions, and isn't afraid to voice them. She's certainly no blonde chick, designed to be 'arm candy' for the hero. The teaming of John Pilgrim and Sally could turn out to be the start of another great series starring these two. I'm looking forward to the next one!
