A few months after monsters spilled into the real world from the MMORPG SK Online, Ryo and his friends have been fighting to keep them at bay with the fantastical powers they've inherited from their game characters. It's tiring work, but someone has to do it.

And the company behind SK Online agrees, apparently. When Ryo's approached by the vice president of Virtual Adventures to be paid to protect Tokyo against the virtual threats, he's reluctant at first, but agrees.

But as soon as he does, things seem to just keep getting weirder. From fairies to fire mages, more and more trouble keeps showing up. Can Ryo, Haru and their friends contend with it, or will they need a little more help IRL than they did online?
