Woodpile blocks look similar to log cabin blocks but are much simpler. I think this is one of the most overlooked quilting books out there, and I don't know why. Anita allows extra yardage so you can square off your blocks perfectly, unlike log cabin blocks which are often not square or the same uniform size.
