Some call tarot a tool for meditation and self-development. Others claim these seventy-eight cards offer a glimpse of the future. So, which is right? According to Corrine Kenner, all of the above Practical, fun, and easy-to-use, this guide will show you how to combine wisdom from the cards with your intuition and common sense to achieve a new understanding of the past, present, and future. Kenner introduces the basics--why tarot works, its colorful history, spreads, ethics, giving readings--along with practical techniques for timing predictions and enhancing your psychic skills. The personality of each card is brought to life through myth and legend, numerical and astrological symbolism, and keywords gleaned from legendary occult scholars. You'll soon learn how to read these classic images and, with practice, divine meaning from signs and symbols in everyday life, too.
I'm about half way through the book right now, it's very easy to understand, even with the more detailed information. Card descriptions show three different artist's renderings so you can get a better idea. Great starter book that I know I will be referring to for years.

I find I really like the way the Author shows 3 cards - Rider-Waite, Llewellyn & Crowley explaining each one for each card - I also like the way the author further gives keywords for each card Overall I feel it worth the investment & if others love Tarot the way I do and want a book that will help explain the cards - this book will do it
