This is the only Ralph Cotton book I've read. The story was excellent and the characters were well developed. Conning Glick gave me goosebumps. Will I read any more of his work. I doubt it.
Warren Memphis Beck Is A Great New Cotton Character
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 16 years ago
This the third Ranger Sam Burrack Cotton Book I have read in the past two weeks. Every one of them is about Ranger Sam Burrack and the outlaw leader Warren Memphis Beck. Cotton has done a remarkable job of bringing outlaw and lawman together with a mutual respect that has built from one book to the next. All three of these books have held my attention from page one. The first was Nightfall at Little Aces. Number two was Ambush and Shadow Valley, and now number three is Showdown at Hole In The Wall. These westerns are among the best books I've read written by Cotton, and that is saying a lot. I hope there are more with Beck in them, maybe even his own series like Cotton has done with Lawrence Shaw who started out in a ranger book and now has his own series. Great job Mr. Cotton.
