It's amazingly convenient: Cook complete meals on one sheet pan (sometimes two). Amazingly tasty: Food actually taste better when cooked on a sheet pan, because it uses three techniques--roasting, baking, or broiling--that intensify flavor. And amazingly versatile: Recipes ranging from easy weeknight dinners to special-occasion meals, plus extras like snacks and sides, ten quick brunch dishes, and irresistible, brilliantly creative desserts. Simply amazing. "An ingenious book. It's all the convenience of a slow-cooker, but the sophistication and creativity of a fine dining restaurant." --Zoe Fran ois, author of Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a Day
I absolutely LOVE Molly Gilberts writing style and really enjoyed reading the excerpts in this book! She is funny and genuine and reading her recipes makes you feel like you're having lunch with your best friend. I was however disappointed that there weren't more "supper" type recipes that utilized interesting combinations for vegetables to pair with a side of rice, noodles or other whole grain options. There are a lot of pizza, breakfast & dessert type recipes that sound good, but took up too much of the book for me. I think most people wouldn't be buying this book to make cheeseburgers or cookies. The book has 120 recipes & she does a good job of giving readers the basics for sheet pan cooking.
