A Great New Book!

It is obvious that the Lord has blessed Lyn and Bill Roche with wisdom to complement their love for the elderly. "Sharing the Care" is a warm hearted as well as a most practical book. It's teachings will bless care givers as well as those receiving the care. We wish we had these teachings available to us when we were caring for our parents and had to place one of them into a care facility. Thank you Lyn and Bill for a most wonderful book that addresses a need that almost all of us will have to face during our lifetime.

This book is AWESOME

I had a family member that had Alzheimer's for 13 years. Watching him deteriorate over the years was heart breaking. Lyn and Bill's first book, Coping With Caring, was a wonderful reference in helping me cope and help my family while my Grandfather was still living at home. He eventually had to be put in a nursing home and passed away years later. Lyn and Bill's new book, Sharing the Care, provides awesome first-hand knowlege and guidance for anyone effected by a loved one in a nursing home. I recommend this book to all caretakers, family members and friends that may have (or will have) someone in a nursing home. Keep the books coming Lyn and Bill, we need you!

Help at a difficult time...

The stress of caring for an elderly parent is enormous. Having to turn to an adult care facility to provide for that parent when "the time comes" can be excruciating. Sharing the Care is clearly a book that caregivers need at that difficult time. It breaks down an overwhelming experience -- for both caregiver and care receiver -- into small, manageable concepts. It offers reassurance and understanding in short, concise examinations of the emotions and experiences that are common to almost anyone "sharing the care" with a health care facility. The writing team gives brief suggestions that might be used to make the transition easier for both the caregiver and the resident. By reducing some very difficult concepts to their most basic form, the writers provide caregivers with positive information without intimidating them with too much detail.
