A fun sea turtle book for the youngster!

Seymour Sea Turtle Snaps Up Lunch is a pre-school book. Small, with thick and sturdy pages (12), the book measures 6.3 x 3.8 x 0.4 inches. At the top, there's a plastic sea turtle head, with a lever that allows the reader to SNAP it shut as the text commands. "SNAP along with the story," says the author, Matt Mitter (it's illustrated nicely by Jon Goode). Now Seymour is tired of eating sponges, so he's looking for other food items to SNAP. He mimics other species in the ocean, and is not successful at filling his belly. Although Seymour looks like a loggerhead, he eats sponges like a hawksbill, and seems to have preorbital scales like a green. No matter! He visits his neighbors, the parrotfish, eagle rays, humpbacks, and... oops... a great white shark! Hmmm... tasty sea turtle. Will Seymour get away, or do you hear SNAP for a final time? Fun little book for early readers!

I bought this book for my nephew and he absolutly loves it! he played with it when he was smaller for noise effect, and then used it to tell the story as he got older. it's not just for one age, it can be used for years!

My little boy took to this book (and others in the same series) with unbelievable zeal and honest interest! I can't implore enough to parents how entertaining these are, also serving to help develop hand - eye coordination, and a whole lot of participation. The handy format make these books perfect for travel. Extremely well-made and illustrated. A+
