Edward Hays challenges the traditional thinking of the Christian religions. His innovative approach to much of what has been taught us in the traditional religious teaching opens a new vision, a world where science and scripture are becoming one. Certainly, the book challenges the thinking that separates and looks at solid facts that lead to harmony and unity. The book promotes the possibility that our world continues to evolve and is recreated on a daily basis. A definite read for anyone that is on a spiritual search.

Fate brought this book with a 1984 copyright and an intriguing title into my hands on Oct 13, 1999. I spent an entire day reading it because I could not stop reading. The author's writing is elegant and inspired with a perspective on spirituality and the practice thereof that is informed, entertaining and challenging without being elitist, judgemental or preachy. His tone is humble, humorous and intimate. What's the spiritual connection between Jesus' cutting his fingernails and peaceful non-violence? Hays makes one and it is delightful and so authentic it made me wince at the truth of what he writes. I would like to meet this author.
