Deep Insight Into the Heart of an Orphan

This is a story about an "orphan" boy who has a practically perfect foster home. Nevertheless, his heart still yearns for "home." It offers great insight into the broken, longing heart of a child separated from it's mother. The mother's desperation is expressed in these pages, as well as the adoptive family's. As all of Christmas Carol Kauffman's books, it's based on a true story. Often they were told to her by elderly people who lived or watched these adventures play out in real life. A very good book.
