Eel was ill. He did not wake up feeling very electric. "Oh, drat!" he said grumpily. "I've lost my zap!" An adorably funny undersea adventure for beginning readers Poor Eel. Funny, cute story of some underwater friends

Great funny characters and story all about a mermaid, Kate, her shark friend, Dave, and how they and their other underwater friends band together to help their eel friend, Eel, get his "zap" back. The book is a nice size for small hands too.

Eel wakes up one morning and finds out that he must be ill. He has lost his electric shock! His friends come up with a plan that they think will help him get his power back. They want to throw him a surprise party. This doesn't help and they are all disappointed. That is until surprising turn of events unfolds! A storm has been brewing on shore and a bolt of lightining comes down to the ocean and gives all the friends a jolt. This helps eel restore his power! The book was short and the story line moved at a fast pace. I would definitely recommend this book to children of all ages. Especially those who have a great interest in ocean life and stories about the sea.
